Keith Byram, P.Eng., F.E.C., President
Mr. Byram is the President and principal owner of Pelly Construction Ltd. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Byram has completed over 200 civil projects, many of which involved working in isolated northern conditions.
Mr. Byram has a solid background in senior management of civil engineering projects; from Alaska Highway re-construction to building an airstrip in Antarctica to open pit mining in the Yukon.
An active member of the community, Mr. Byram was the past Chair of the Yukon Hospital Foundation, past Chair of the Yukon Water Board, Placer regulation committee. He is also a past President of the Yukon Professional Engineers, Yukon Contractors Association and Yukon Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. Byram is past Director of Yukon College, Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and past member of the Yukon Justice Advisory Board.
Jess Jewell, Vice President
Mr. Jewell has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. His dedication to the company resulted in him becoming an integral part of the ownership team and senior management at Pelly Construction Ltd.
Mr. Jewell’s exceptional efforts and hands-on approach in managing grade control and optimizing operations has earned him the reputation of being client-focused. An expert miner, Mr. Jewell specializes in rock excavation, drilling & blasting, mine operations and project management.
Jennifer Byram, B.B.A., Vice President Community Affairs
Ms. Byram graduated from University of Alaska, Anchorage with a degree in Business Administration. With 30 years in the construction industry she has had a long and diverse career. Presently, Ms. Byram specifically concentrates on employee safety, human resources and cost control.
Additionally, Ms. Byram was a past Director of the Yukon Chamber of Mines, past President of Yukon Contractor’s Association, and co-founder of what is now known as Northern Safety Network Yukon.
